Sounded very much making sense, isn’t it? Yes, indeed. But let’s go deeper into it.
People often say, “There’s no such thing as free lunch.” I quite disagree with that statement though. There is free lunch, but, what kind of lunch is it? Yes. What kind of lunch is it? The appropriate question, in my opinion, to be asked.
Nonetheless, it requires deeper analysis prior to deciding whether one should go for the “free lunch” or otherwise. Several factors to consider, as I have thought of it are as below.
First, is it an experimental case or a sure need that one is trying to fulfill. In case of experimental, “free lunch” might be the best one as one wouldn’t know yet what one is looking for nor what suits best for one’s need. In the case where one is sure of what one need, I don’t recommend that “free lunch” as one would certainly progress through and would certainly require the system to progress as one progresses and that would translate into further development of the system to fulfill needs which arises along the way. Thus is it very very recommended to NOT go with the “free lunch”.
Second, by choosing “free lunch” most certainly, one would do-it-yourself, which means, there must be time allocated to do so. This could be suitable for “not yet” or “not yet so” established ones.
Third is the expertise required to expedite the process of getting the system ready. It takes time to be a reach “seasoned and experienced” state. Thus getting the so called “expert” to some extend, would definitely saves one a lot and is likely to ensure smooth journey towards one’s final goal of setting up the system on requires.
Fourth is support. This is surely needed along the way. It is inevitable to find some “anomalies”, and to have it fixed in a relatively short time, is invaluable at times.
These are some thoughts I can share for now. Hope it helps!
